## The problem it solves

iHerb does not offer a way to sort a listing by value. Its own per-unit price is missing from listing pages, and where it appears the unit varies between products (per 100 g, per kilogram, per count, per serving) and between country storefronts. Per-serving prices are not comparable at all, because a serving is defined by the brand: one protein powder counts a 31 g scoop, another counts 40 g.

Multipacks compound the problem. A product named "12 Bars, 1.4 oz (40 g) Each" contains 480 g, but the last weight in the name is 40 g. Any comparison that reads the name naively treats the pack as twelve times lighter than it is.

## What it does

- Sorts any iHerb listing by price per weight, price per unit, or biggest discount.
- Sorts by protein per unit of currency, protein per weight, protein to carbohydrate ratio, sugar content, sodium content, servings per container, rating, sales volume and iHerb category ranking.
- Reads multipack sizes as the full package, cross-checking the unit count against the delivery weight.
- Shows the percentage off and the crossed-out original price on discounted products.
- Surfaces store-wide iHerb offers and promo codes at the top of the panel.
- Switches any product to whichever size or flavour costs least per gram.
- Adapts to the category: nutrition metrics appear on supplements and groceries, and are hidden on pet, home and beauty listings where they mean nothing.
- Pins products for side-by-side comparison.

## How the scores work

Each product is scored out of 10 relative to the best product on the page, proportionally: a product half as good as the best scores 5. Scores are relative to the page, not absolute judgements of the product.

## Privacy

All calculation happens in the browser. There is no account, no server, and no telemetry. The only stored data is a local cache of product sizes, kept for 24 hours.
